The President of Werabe University and the CEO of Centre for National and Regional Integration Studies (CeNRIS), a think-thank registered as a local civil society in Ethiopia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Institutional cooperation on December 2022 at Werabe University.

WRU and (CeNRIS) outlined that their institutional cooperation will include joint research, seminar and related activities that will promote national and regional integration in Ethiopia and the Hoorn of Africa.

Dr. Ing. Tewofik Jemal, President of Werabe University, pointed out that joint research, academic, and community service programs, seminar and event organizations on areas of mutual interest will not only enhance the quality of social science education at WRU, but will also leverage the process peaceful national and regional integration. He also affirmed WRU’s commitment for the joint efforts and gave direction to include CeNRIS on the regular annual research conference of the current year,
Mr. Ibrahim Mulushewa, the CEO of CeNRIs, on his part, appreciated the institutional cooperation that CeNRIs signed with Werabe University, Which is located at Silte Zone where there is a wealth of indigenous knowledge for national and regional integration among the people of Silite Zone that has a well-established tradition of trading and living with other community throughout Ethiopia and beyond.
